To the Citizens of Park City,

For the past seven-plus years it has been my great honor to serve the Park City community. We have succeeded in creating a government that is open and participatory, civil and accountable. Park City has matured as an internationally recognized destination, while striving to meet the needs and desires of its citizens. Our city’s culture is one of inclusiveness, affording our residents the opportunity to be involved in the direction and future of Park City.

Since I’ve been Mayor, the City government has tackled and made progress on many significant issues with the help and involvement of hundreds of people. We have worked together to acquire thousands of acres of deed restricted and conservation easement open space and hundreds of miles of new trails. We’ve developed new affordable housing that enables our essential workforce to live in the community. Sustainability and walkability projects have been embraced, and we’ve worked on environmental cleanup. These are successes we can all be proud of.

My philosophy concerning my role as Mayor has always been to be the voice of our community. I believe the direction Park City takes should be initiated by the will of the citizens rather than by the government itself. For these reasons and many others, I remain committed to continuing to serve as your Mayor.
